Social Media Audits for a Creative Producer of Marketing Content

The Client

Is a creative producer of marketing content for businesses working in the live entertainment production industry. With a large number of high profile clients, they use a flexible contracting model to meet the varied needs of their clients. On this occasion a global client who had grown through acquisition, needed to better understand their social media presence to inform their own business strategy. They were aware that as well as the accounts run by the central marketing teams there were a number of local offices who had also set up accounts to promote their offering, but didn’t have a central view of them or their potential benefits.

The strategy

The brand guidelines and parent accounts were looked at as ‘best practice’ and an audit was carried out to record the channels based on names, follower numbers, biographies and activity levels, across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, You Tube, G+ and Pinterest. As well as this, each child account was audited for brand consistency and whether it supported 3 key values of the parent brand.

The results

‘This particular client’s business had made a number of smaller company acquisitions in the previous two years. The client wanted a full audit of the social media channels that were currently in existence with a view to ditching the least effective and promoting the channels attracting the highest engagement. Clare understood the brief and provided a clear proposal in response. Clare demonstrated a meticulous attention to detail. Personally I found Clare to be extremely helpful, proactive, invested in her job, friendly and fun to deal with. In terms of the project she demonstrated excellent attention to detail, she was efficient, true to her word and budget and time frame perfect. The report was clear and concise and was extremely useful to my client.’
